Vendredi: Seven of Spades

Today's card is usually a pretty good indication that your querent has cooked up a scheme and is thinking of embarking on it.  In fact, I’ve found that more times than not the Seven of Spades in a spread is a sign that the querent is sitting in front of me to find out whether or not his/her plans will work.  The problem is the card is ambiguous.

The first thing to do is to ask some questions and get a little more information from the querent.  Unless the cards have been very obvious in their intent, you need more feedback.

Next, look at the cards around the Seven of Spades.  If a lot of positive cards surround it, then your querent’s plans may succeed.  This is particularly true if the cards are from a Suit that relates to the plan as in Hearts for a potential marriage proposal or Diamonds for starting a new business.  The key issue no matter how rosy the outlook is careful planning.  Jumping into this with both feet and no backup plan will end in disaster.

It probably goes without saying that negative cards in close proximity signal a bad result.  At the very least they are a serious indication that the querent needs to rethink and revise their scheme.

In very unusual cases, this card indicates that your querent is considering theft or other illegal activities to achieve their goal.  I know a card reader who had a querent reveal that he was mulling over joining a group who had plans to hold up a bank when this card came up.  To the best of her knowledge, she talked the guy out of it.  This is an extreme example, but it is something to be aware of when interacting with querents, particularly those you don’t know personally.

The Eight of Spades turns up next Friday.  A bientot ~

See, this is why I always have a reading done when I am "considering theft or other illegal activities to achieve" my goal, Pauline...

We all need to be talked out of things every now and again...
